THE ROMAN THEATER OF CARTAGENA IN THE MONTH OF MAY

The Roman Theater Museum has scheduled various activities with Cartagena Puerto de Culturas during the month of May. You can enjoy dramatized visits and routes with a lot of history.
Current hours of the Roman Theater Museum are from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

AUGUSTO'S JOURNEY TO CARTHAGO NOVA. Dramatized
route A dramatized route where Augusto will explain how he transformed a brick city into a marble one. Thus we will live an experience, with the first emperor, who ordered the construction of the magnificent Theater related to his political propaganda. We will discover the importance of the Thermal Baths and will show us sacred rites and religions coming from all the ports of the Mediterranean, in the temples of the Forum.
Route: Museum of the Roman Theater, Museum of the Roman Forum: Days: May 1. Time: 12: 00h. Price: 14 individual, reduced € 12. Cartagena Puerto de Culturas Club: € 7.

CARTAGENA THREE CULTURES. Guided
route This route will introduce you to medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures, Christian, Jewish and Muslim. It will start at the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castillo de la Concepción, from where you can see the entire city. The visit will continue bordering the Church of Santa María la Mayor until reaching the Museum of the Roman Theater.
Route: Panoramic Elevator, Castle of the Conception and Museum of the Roman Theater. Days: Saturdays in May and June. Time: 11:30 a.m. Departure from the Panoramic Elevator. Price: individual € 13, reduced € 10 and Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas € 6.50.

FROM THEATER TO THE DOMUS DEL PÓRTICO. Guided tour
The route will begin at the Museum of the Roman Theater, we will visit the temporary exhibition dedicated to the portico of the theater, it will continue through the rooms of the Museum until we reach the magnificent Roman Theater, when leaving the monument we will continue towards one of the most typical corners of the old neighborhood de Pescadores, the Callejón de la Soledad, to go to visit the remains of the theater portico preserved in the Domus del Pórtico.
Place: Museum of the Roman Theater and Domus del Portico. Days: Saturdays, May 8, 22 and 29. Hours: 18: 00h. Price: € 6.

THEATRUM: SPEND A THEATER MORNING. Guided visit
Participants will be able to learn about Roman society through theater, its religion and politics, what the great entertainment buildings were like in the Roman Empire; the types of plays that were performed or the people who acted in them.
Place: Museum of the Roman Theater. Days: Sundays in May at 11:00 a.m. Price: € 4 and Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas € 2.

CARTHAGO NOVA: FROM THE THEATER TO THE TERMAS. Guided tour
A guided tour where you will see the two public buildings, dedicated to leisure and pleasure and that served as a political and social instrument. We will understand the fundamental role of political propaganda that the Roman Theater had, and the commercial function of the luxurious Termas del Puerto that are located in the Barrio del Foro Romano, next to the Sanctuary of Isis and the Atrium Building.
Route: Museum of the Roman Theater and the Roman Forum Quarter. Date: Sundays in May and June. Time: 11:30 am. Departure from the Museum of the Roman Theater. Price: individual € 13, reduced € 10 and Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas € 6.50.
