THE ROMAN THEATER IN THE MONTH OF JUNE 2021

COME TO THE THEATER. ROMAN I AM. Family activity
Participants will be able to know through a dynamic visit, what the theatrical building was like and its Greek precedent, we will learn about the origin of the theater and the theatrical representations in the Fiestas in honor of Dionysus. We will immerse ourselves in a time tunnel, and with various riddles and games we will reach the Roman theater, where a comedy and a musical dithyramb will be staged.
Place: Museum of the Roman Theater. Days: Saturdays in June. Time: 11: 00h . Price: € 4. Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas € 2.

CARTAGENA THREE CULTURES. Guided tour
This route will reveal the medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures, Christian, Jewish and Muslim. It will start at the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castillo de la Concepción, from where you can see the entire city. The visit will continue bordering the Church of Santa María la Mayor until reaching the Museum of the Roman Theater.
Route: Panoramic Elevator, Castle of the Conception and Museum of the Roman Theater. Days: Saturdays in May and June. Time: 11:30 AM . Departure from the Panoramic Elevator. Price: individual € 13, reduced € 10 and Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas € 6.50.

FROM THEATER TO THE DOMUS DEL PÓRTICO. Guided visit
The route will begin at the Museum of the Roman Theater, it will continue through the rooms of the Museum until we reach the magnificent Roman Theater, when leaving the monument we will continue towards one of the most typical corners of the old Fishermen's Quarter, the Callejón de la Soledad, to go to visit the remains of the portico of the theater preserved in the Domus del Pórtico.
Place: Museum of the Roman Theater and Domus del Portico. Days: Saturdays in June 6:00 p.m. , 6 euros

CARTHAGO NOVA: FROM THE THEATER TO THE TERMAS. Guided tour
A guided route where the two public buildings, dedicated to leisure and pleasure and which served as a political and social instrument, will be known. We will understand the fundamental role of political propaganda that the Roman Theater had, and the commercial function of the luxurious Termas del Puerto that are located in the Barrio del Foro Romano, next to the Sanctuary of Isis and the Atrium Building.
Route: Museum of the Roman Theater and the Roman Forum Quarter. Date: Sundays in May and June. Time: 11:30 am . Departure from the Museum of the Roman Theater. Price: individual € 13, reduced € 10 and Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas € 6.50.

NIGHT VISITS
THE THEATER UNDER THE MOONLIGHT. Guided visit

The visitor will make a night visit to the most emblematic work promoted by Augusto in the old Carthago Nova. The trip allows you to experience in first person, in a relaxed atmosphere and with exclusivity, a tour that begins at the Museum of the Roman Theater by the hand of a guide, with a small group of people, discovering the keys to Roman civilization, to lead in the archaeological jewel of the Roman Theater under the moonlight.

AULAEUM, DOWN THE CURTAIN. Dramatized visit
The great Roman architect Vitruvius will offer his vision of the theater with him you will enjoy a night visit to the most emblematic work promoted by Augustus in the old Carthago Nova. The end of the trip culminates with the unexpected appearance of the imposing stands of the Roman Theater in the light of the moon, there the encounter with the classical theater by the hand of Plautus.
