The Roman Theater Museum has scheduled various activities with Cartagena Puerto de Culturas during the months of July and August. You can enjoy routes with a lot of history, family activities and night visits to the Roman theater in the light of the moon.
ROUTES WITH HISTORY
TREASURES OF ROME Guided
route An impressive guided route where the Roman treasures of the city will be explained. The route begins at the Museum of the Theater, and will continue through the recently inaugurated Museum of the Roman Forum. The new route allows us to travel through the most exquisite classical art of ancient Rome, from the Muses of the marble altars of the theater to the delicate brushstrokes of the Muses of the Atrium building. From the theater to the curia, from the Roman forum to the baths. Do not miss it.

FROM QART HADAST TO CARTHAGO NOVA. Guided
route The route begins at the Punic Wall that Asdrúbal Barca built, and was conquered by Publio Cornelio Escipión, up to Carthago Nova; a journey through daily life with a visit to the house of La Fortuna and the great entertainment building, the Roman Theater, built in the time of Augustus and dedicated to his grandsons Gaius and Lucio. PLACES OF POWER: FROM CURIA TO THE THEATER. Guided
route The route begins at the Museum of the Forum, finding the impressive Curia where Emperor Galba came to power in 68 AD, it will continue through the Temple and Priestly Seat of the Augustales, ending at the Roman Theater, symbol of the Empire.

FROM THEATER TO THE DOMUS DEL PÓRTICO. Guided tour
The route will begin at the Museum of the Roman Theater, we will visit the temporary exhibition dedicated to the portico of the theater, it will continue through the rooms of the Museum until we reach the magnificent Roman Theater, when leaving the monument we will continue towards one of the most typical corners of the old neighborhood de Pescadores, the Callejón de la Soledad, to go to visit the remains of the theater portico preserved in the Domus del Pórtico.

AUGUSTO'S JOURNEY TO CARTHAGO NOVA. Dramatized
route A dramatized route where Augusto will explain how he transformed a brick city into a marble one. Thus we will live an experience, with the first emperor, who ordered the construction of the magnificent Theater related to his political propaganda. We will discover the importance of the Thermal Baths and will show us sacred rites and religions coming from all the ports of the Mediterranean, in the temples of the Forum.

ASCLEPIANS. 2,000 YEARS OF A HILL. Guided tour
A route to discover the cultures and civilizations of Cartagena from the most remote times and obtain the best panoramic views. We will know the Roman urbanism, the medieval heritage and the port as the protagonist of the city.
The route will begin at the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castillo de la Concepción, from where you can see the entire city. The visit will continue bordering the Church of Santa María la Mayor until reaching the Museum of the Roman Theater.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
THEATRUM: SPEND AN AFTERNOON AT THEATER ”. Family activity
Participants will be able to learn about Roman society through theater, its religion and politics, what the great entertainment buildings were like in the Roman Empire; the types of plays that were performed or the people who acted in them. The activity and visit to the Museum and Roman Theater of Cartagena will be on Tuesdays in July at 6:30 p.m.

TEO JONES AND THE MYSTERY OF THE ROMAN STONES. Dramatized route for children
Discover with Teo Jones, the secret that the stones of the Theater and the Roman Forum keep. A fun adventure, where through mysterious symbols, the little ones will discover the Roman civilization and the city of Carthago Nova.

COME TO THE THEATER. ROMAN I AM. Family activity
A dynamic visit, where the origin of the theater will be known by introducing us to the theatrical performances at the Fiestas in honor of Dionysus. Upon arrival at the site, a comedy and a musical dithyramb will be staged.

NIGHT VISITS
THE THEATER UNDER THE MOONLIGHT. Guided tour
The visitor will make a night visit to the most emblematic work promoted by Augusto in the old Carthago Nova. The trip allows you to experience in first person, in a relaxed atmosphere and with exclusivity, a tour that begins at the Museum of the Roman Theater by the hand of a guide, with a small group of people, discovering the keys to Roman civilization, to lead in the archaeological jewel of the Roman Theater under the moonlight.

AULAEUM, DOWN THE CURTAIN. Dramatized visit
The great Roman architect Vitruvius will offer his vision of the theater with him you will enjoy a night visit to the most emblematic work promoted by Augustus in the old Carthago Nova. The end of the trip culminates with the unexpected appearance of the imposing stands of the Roman Theater in the light of the moon, there the encounter with the classical theater by the hand of Plautus.
