The Museum of the Roman Theater in Cartagena offers a workshop for high school students and high school result of collaboration between secondary school teachers and Museum, under the project Prodico CPR Cartagena. The workshop aims knowledge of the Roman Theater in ancient times as a stage for political, social and cultural life of the city.

CONTENTS
historical setting, the architecture of the Roman theater and its insertion into the city, political and religious role of the old theater. Staging: theatrical genres, authors, actors and costumes. Roman theater today

METHODOLOGY
The aim of the workshop is that students get a practical way to acquire a body of knowledge about the ancient theater, especially Cartagena. The dynamics of the workshop consists of several parts:
1. Part-theoretical: with a brief explanation and a power point students should begin to become familiar with the concepts.
Part 2. Practice: students will be divided into groups, thus promoting teamwork, in order to get answer a series of questions. These should be investigated by the museum itself, while most hidden answers between explanatory posters, artworks, videos etc
reflective 3. Party or theater-forum : the activity will end at the theater, where in groups will read a classic text related to the theater, and then draw conclusions and put them together, producing an interesting debate. Some students read some dialogues Host of Plautus, and test the acoustics of the Roman building.
